Overview
Anayom is a website analysis Chrome extension. This privacy policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.
Data Collection
What the extension accesses
When you click “Scan This Page,” the extension reads the HTML content of the current browser tab to analyse SEO, performance, conversion, trust, review, local, and contact signals. This analysis happens entirely within your browser.
What the extension stores locally
- Scan results (scores, findings, detection data)
- Saved leads (domain, URL, scores, notes, tags)
- Extension settings and preferences
- Email marketing platform API keys (if you configure push-to-list)
All of this data is stored in Chrome's local storage on your device. It is not transmitted to any external server. API keys for email marketing platforms are stored locally and are only sent directly to the respective platform's API when you explicitly use the push-to-list feature.
What the extension sends externally
The extension communicates with external servers only in these specific situations:
1. License verification (anayom.com)
When you purchase Pro or use the Restore Pro feature, the extension sends your purchase email to anayom.com to verify your license status. No other personal data is sent.
2. Push-to-list (optional, user-configured)
If you configure an email marketing platform (Brevo, Mautic, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, MailerLite, Constant Contact, Sender, or ActiveCampaign) and click “Push” on a discovered contact, the extension sends that contact's email address to the platform you configured. This only happens when you explicitly click the Push button. API keys are stored locally and sent directly to the platform's API.
3. Review duplicate check (anayom.com, Pro only)
When you use the review duplicate check feature, the extension sends short text excerpts from testimonials found on the page to anayom.com for comparison. Only the review text is sent, not the full page content or any personal data.
4. Stripe (payment)
When you purchase a Pro subscription, you are redirected to Stripe's hosted checkout page. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe. The extension does not access or store your payment details.
What the extension does NOT do
- ✓Does not collect browsing history

- ✓Does not collect personal information automatically
- ✓Does not run in the background when not in use
- ✓Does not access your email, contacts, or files
- ✓Does not use cookies or fingerprinting
- ✓Does not share or sell any data to third parties
Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer user data to third parties. The only external communications are license verification (with our own server) and push-to-list (with platforms you explicitly configure).
Data Retention
- Local scan data persists until you clear it or uninstall the extension
- License verification data is cached locally and refreshed periodically
- Our server stores only email addresses used for Pro purchases, for license verification purposes

User Control
- You can clear all stored data from the Options page
- You can remove individual leads at any time
- You can disable or remove email platform integrations at any time
- You can uninstall the extension to remove all local data
Children's Privacy
This extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
